Who is the addict?

An addict is a person who is controlled by drugs, lives for their use and takes them in order to live, and drugs have become the main control of his life.
What is addiction?

Addiction is a complex disease, often chronic in nature, that affects the chemistry of the brain and body.

It also causes severe damage to families, relationships, schools, workplaces and neighborhoods, and one of the most common symptoms of addiction is severe loss of control and continued use despite serious consequences, preoccupation with its use, attempts to quit and withdrawal symptoms.
Who is the addict?

An addict as mentioned previously is a person who has a complete dependence on drug abuse, or any of the other addictive behaviors, and lives only for the purpose of searching and using drugs, and in order to get to know the addicted person more accurately:

He is a selfish person who focuses on himself without the slightest concern for the good of others and does not even care about his own problems.
His main problem is to maintain the drug supplier or the immediate gratification of his desire for drugs, and he follows any method, no matter how dangerous, to satisfy that intense craving.
He lacks self-discipline, management, ambition, self-confidence, or belief in his personality, and he always avoids responsibility.
The degree of his readiness for all kinds of pain is very high, and he cannot tolerate criticism or frustration.
He fails to develop his normal human relationships and his personal relationships tend to be limited to other members of the drug addicts world, thus becoming a social outcast and living in harsh loneliness.

Who is the addict? we know ! Our entire life and thinking centered on drugs in one way or another, getting them and using them and finding ways and means to get more. We lived to enjoy and used to live.

Very simply, an addict is a “man or a woman” whose life is controlled by drugs. We are people who have fallen into the grip of a persistent and worsening disease whose end is always the same: prisons, clinics and death.
